We are seeking a passionate, experienced campaigner to coordinate the Student Stop AIDS Campaign.
The past year of working with this amazing, creative, passionate network has been an incredible journey!
Together we’ve achieved so much, including winning the battle against Novartis, hosting ‘the best ever’ Speaker Tour (according to one veteran campaigner!), putting the pressure on, to ensure the Government keep their promises to ensure 15 million people access HIV treatment by 2015 and double their contribution to the Global Fund.
Sadly, I have decided to seek exciting new adventures and will be leaving the role next month.
Happily, this means that one of the most interesting jobs going is up for grabs!
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead on the coordination of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign (SSAC) – the UK’s only grassroots activist network fighting to see an end of AIDS globally.
SSAC is social movement of young people within the UK who believe that the world’s response to the HIV pandemic is insufficient and unacceptable, who work to bring about change through raising awareness, political lobbying, public engagement and corporate action. We are at a crucial moment in the HIV response. And End of AIDS is in sight
The successful candidate will have experience in:
- Running effective campaigns
- Managing and developing grassroots networks
- Facilitating successful training events
- Motivating and mobilising activists and volunteers
- Coordinating events and/or action
