Since the military coup in Thailand on the 22nd May, there have been concerns from the access to medicines movement about the legitimacy of Free Trade negotiations between the EU and Thailand’s current military government.

The FTA watch, a coalition of civil society, NGOs and academics working on public health, access to medicines and intellectual property, has written to the delegation of the European Union to Thailand expressing their concerns that the EU is taking advantage of Thailand’s political instability to continue FTA negotiations.
