The event of the year, is fast approaching!

I can’t wait to see the all of the groups converge in Sheffield on the 27th and 28th October for our annual training and AGM.

Here we’ll get to meet each other, Ceilidh and dance the night away, share our experiences and play as many warm up games as you can imagine.

You’ll also get a serious chance to learn about the campaigns, whether as a newbie much like me, or in much more detail if you’re an old Stop AIDS hack! We’ll also train you in essential campaigning skills (that are also pretty handy for your CV too).

What are you waiting for?? Book your place now!

You can sign up on Facebook too.

We sort you out basic accomodation plus food for the whole weekend, all we ask is a small contribution of £10 which you can pay at www.justgiving.com/SSACNationalGathering

Agenda – I’ll be posting the agenda up here seen, but in the mean time for travel bookings. We will be starting sessions at 10.30am (but please arrive from 9.30am to sign you in) and the last session on Sunday will finish at 5.30pm.

Travel to Sheffield – if there’s a big group of you, think about coming together, and maybe even hiring a mini-van or coach as it might be cheaper. Remember you can fundraise to help cover the travel costs, and often your Students Union or your University have pots of money to help groups go to events like this – why not ask them if they can help? Unfortunately we can’t offer any contribution for travel – our budget is just too small!

Committee Elections – As the event acts as our AGM we will also hold Committee Elections, so if you’re interested in being more involved in the running of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign, including attending planning meetings with other NGOs across the sector and acting as a representative for your region, please email me(kates@restlessdevelopment.org).
